The biggest advantage of solar lighting is that it costs you nothing, and you don’t have run wiring for it. The trade-off is you don’t get a whole lot of light out of these lights, which can be dangerous on your deck if you’re trying to light steps or a cooking area.
Low-voltage lighting provides much more light, while still saving you money. You will have to run wiring for it, but not that much considering you’re just going to your deck.
