Dear Sir, On May 20, 2011, Chris and Carlos repaired my deck which had been damaged by a large tree limb which came down in one of the April storms. They didn’t just "patch" the area of brealage. They took apart the deck flooring and railing in order to replace the affected area with new lon 20" boards. This work was done according to your instruction. Early the following week, the railing caps were replaced at no expense to me. (To be removed the original caps had to be broken.) Your men commented that the job took longer than expected because the original installers had done such a good job. We had a 4’ vinyl picket fence installed, but with several specific requests including an arbor, a double gate, and the addition of a gate to our existing vinyl deck railing. I have been pondering this project and the design of the deck for several years now. Knowing I needed to have the old, splintered 3 tier deck removed and a new, improved design created, I purchased deck books galore. Dear Chris, I thought I would tell you how mych my Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Lani and I love the new deck and fence. It looks awesome and I feel much better about being in the yard with Lani. The two groups of people that came to work on the deck and fence were great. They were here by 7:30 in the morning, went over the plans with me, and jumped right into their work. I took off shortly after their arrival, but my neighbors said they were done by 1:30. In addition my neighbors are jealous. Not only do they like the look of my deck better than teir own, they had work on their deck start on Thursday and did not have it finnished until Tuesday, and it still did not pass inspection (something to do with change in the laws about steps needing to be covered), while your guys were in and out in six hours. Thanks, Brian and Adella _______________________________________________________________________ October 11th, 2009 Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence installed a 5ft. four board paddock fence with black-vinyl-coated wire between the boards and the posts, around the perimeter of our backyard, about half an acre, replacing an old 4ft. chain-link fence, which was falling down in places. Mid-Atlantic replaced the fromt sections of this fence, with taller, decorative fence, shortly after we moved into our house six years ago. They did great work both times at a competitve price. One of our dogs had started jumping the fence, and we needed something taller. We didn’t want a privacy fence.We back onto the woods and the houses in our neighborhood are far apart. The price to use the decrative fencing for the entire yard didn’t work for our budget. Mike brainstormed with us about options. This fence is a great solution. It doesn’t block our view of the woods and we can now leave our dog outside again. The work was almost completed in one day, though they came back the following day to finnish a few details. My husband was cutting limbs off trees, so they wouldn’t fall and damage the new fence, as they had the old one. A branch fell on the front section of the fence, which we were keeping,and damaged it! Mid-Atlantic had a section of the same fencing in stock, and replaced it with no additional labor charge. They even cut down one last limb my husband haden’t been able to get, that looked likely to fall in the next strorm We couln’t be happier with our new fence. More often then not, People can contact you to complain when things don’t go according to plan but never take the time to let you know when they do an excellent job. Although I was able to locate what I needed through your website as far as materials, when I called her to place the order she was pleasant and very helpful. I needed to get the materials kind of quick because I had scheduled vacation around it and she made sure I recieved the materials on the delivery date that I had requested. If that wasn’t enough, my installer measured short on the fence and I needed one more complete section to finnish the project so I returned to good ole Taushlyn for assistance and she was able to get the guys to cut me another section the same day for pick up by 3. I was able to swing by your company to pick up the product and take it back home for the installer to finnish the project. As the ole saying goes "Another Satisfied Customer" It is very important to have a good staff to help you produce the products for your customers but it is just as equally important to have someone in the front office that can provide excellent customer service. We chose a khaki and tan vinyl fence. The quality of the fence is great and it looks beautiful. Nelson and his crew were excellent workers and almost worked a 12 hour day to remove the old chain-link fence and install the new one! They were neat, percise, and very pleasant and we couldn’t have asked for better workmanship. From the beginning to end the process was like no other I have ever experienced. Getting the estimate from Frank was hassle free and very reasonable, the materials came in on the schedule that was estimated and the work was scheduled by Randy and completed as promised. May 12, 2009 I recently had 210 feet of board and batten fence installed in my back yard by Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence I am very happy with the final product. In fact, I was very pleased with the "entire process." Starting with my initial conversations, visits and estimates from Mike Schenck all the way to meeting the forman and the crew the day of installation. That’s all installation took. One day! And the fence looks terrific. I’ve already recieved several complements on how nice the fence looks. Even from Neighbors I haven’t met yet! Mike Schenck was patient and on the ball when it came time to offer solid advice on a final decision for style of fence as well as direct me to a person that helped me with financing. Finding financing and getting approved for financing was a smooth process that took one day as well. The forman took time to walk the fence line with me the morning of installation and offered several professional ideas that were ultimately used to get around difficult spots on the property. Although we had discussed a couple of issues in our initial meeting, those issues were not clearly written in the contract. But, when I called Dave to discuss the matter, he immediately, with no hesitation (even though he said he did not remember our discussion), agreed to follow through. Dave said his main goal was to see that I was satisfied. I don’t even know if you relize it or not, but you do not often find this type of professional integrity and courtesy, especially among contractors. I’ve been living in my home in Severn for 16+ years and have dealt with more than a few contractors, and needless to say, I cannot think of even one who compare to Dave. The workers who installed my fence were also very friendly and courteous, cleaned up very nicely when they finnished the job. And, they did a very good job. After having 3 fence companies out for estimates, Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence offered, by far, the best product for the best price. Our sales contact, Mike Schenck, was great to work with. He was honest, straightforward and we always were confident that what he said was the way it was going to be done - What more could you ask for? We had a number of delays due to our HOA and Mike helped us through the process. Once on the job, the installation crew could not have been better. The craftsmanship was outstanding. The crew must have checked in with us hourly to make sure we were happy with how the installation was going. The end product was outstanding. I was provided a level of service that exceeded my expectations. I initally met Glen at a Home Show in November 2008 and I have been working with him for over 5 months. He called me on the day he promised and he was very patient with me and the slow process of building my new home. The day I settled on my new home, he called me to inform me that he would apply for the permits and two weeks later construction began. During the construction process, I had a question/concern and Glen addressed it and his crew corrected it the next day. The crew that built my deck was very courteous, proffessional, and detail-oriented. For example, they were not pleased with the quality of plywood that was delivered to construct the steps of the deck and informed us that they would not complete the job with subpar materials. Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence was the last company ( I had 4 estimates) So, I did have knowledge of building a deck. My decision then was not only price, but personality, knowledge and professianlism of 2 salesman. Don fit these. So on 2-24-2009 a contract was signed. 2. The work was to begin on 2-09-2009. Tim, builder, did stop by on 2-8-2009 just to look at the yard area. The crew of 3, Tim, Jason and Gary arrived around 7AM on 2-09-2009. Jumped right out of the truck and things began like they were shot out of a cannon! Since I was home during this, I interacted when needed. Tim and Jason would answer all my questions and concerns of the job being completed. They had great energy (alot of music playing) and occassionly we were exchanging humor- again Great Energy. Tim - His knowledge and workmanship was excellent. He knows his skill. GAVE 100% Jason - Again- excellent workmanship and knowledge Jason and Tim worked well together. GAVE 100% Gary - Gary was great / excellent also- his workmanship to carry out what Tim needed: He gave 100% This crew build my deck.The deck is beautiful, if a deck can be beautiful- well built that I think my car could be parked on top. I have already told my one friend who will be seeing the deck about Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence. Unfortunatly- he just had siding put on so he’s not in the market for a deck.
