June 2, 2008 We have used Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence Co. for several projects in the last year and we could not be happier with the results. Last summer we had Mid-Atlantic do a replacement deck for us in Pro-cell. From start to finnish, Derrick, Randy and Bruce all worked together to make the planning and scheduling run smoothly and the installers, Keith and Mike, did a great job building the deck. We were extremely happy with the service and the results that we recieved. This year we decided to add on a second deck, and there was no question about what company we would call. Mid-Atlantic deck and fence built our second Pro-Cell deck in the spring and, once agian, we are very pleased with the results. We have recieved many compliments on our decks. Additionally, we had Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence Power wash and seal our wood fence which had weathered over the years and the fence now looks almost like a new fence. Two and a half years ago you installed a fence for our backyard and two years ago you installed a deck for us. From the beginning we were pleased with the design, quality and skill which was put into our fence. John, the project manager foreman, is a skilled craftsman and it was a pleasure to watch him work. His stories were pretty good, too. Our deck was a different story. Thanks to the efforts of our salesman, Don Scheppske, and your Project Manager, Brad, we have finally been able to be totally pleased with the deck.Once Brad became aware of our problems he took care of the issues. He came out the house, told me what he would do, called to let me know the schedule, and even though we were out of town he had the work finnished, and than he called to make sure we were happy. We have been very vocal in telling people the problems we had with our deck and the lack of customer service we received from the former deck project manager and other people we had contact with. The crew led by Ed Watson worked expertly. Despite delays caused by weather and an initally inadequate performance by the "Miss Utility" contractor, they quickly removed the old four-hundred-foot-long wood fence and installed an attractive replacement, with two pedestrian gates and a drive gate. After fourty years of periosically repainting the replaced wood fence, my father looks forward to years of carefree enjoyment of his new vinyl one. I can remember the gentlemens names who completed the work, but please thank them for me. I did have one request. When they were installing the lattice they asked if I wanted an access gate and I said yes. Later on, he said there wasn enough room. I went and took a look and Id still like to have an access gate to underneath the deck.There is a downspout that is there that I need to get to (the water flow director needs to be adjusted, actually Im going to replace it with black tubing) but there are other reasons for me to need to get there and also Id like to be able to store little things like shovels and so forth. Thanks in advance for your assistance on that one. In addition, Im not sure who the fence crew is going to be but my neighbor came out and looked at the deck and I told him about the fence and he was interested in getting a fence. He plans to stop by that Tuesday morning when the fence is suppost to be started. Also, in case he doesn make it, if someone could leave some business cards Ill make sure he gets one. All aspects of my involvement with the representives of Mid-Atlantic exceeded my expectaitons. Mike Schenck was the representative from Mid-Atlantic who sold the fence to my husband and me and provided us with sound advice pertaining to the appropriate materials to use to meet our needs and the best location for our fence. He graciously accommodated us when we changed our minds numerous times with respect to the specific style of the fence, materials and location of gates. He was a true pleasure to deal with. I felt as though he was a friend looking out for our best interests. The men who installed the fence, Kenny and Darwin, were also professional, courteous and simply did a fine job with the installation. They graciously answered any questions that I had and worked quickly and never left a messy job site.
